Oh no. Shit happens. Re-AnimateHer left Rat City Roller Girls. This is the note she released for her fans. You know what? She still one of the most amazing roller girls in the world.  You go girl!!!!!!

I wanted to take a moment to communicate with you, fans of Re-AnimateHer and fans roller derby.  As of Sunday April 15, I am no longer a member of the Rat City Roller Girls organization; I am seeking other opportunities within our sport.  In short, my relationship with the RCRG organization and my participation in the sport of roller derby as a member of RCRG has been strained and has become untenable.  RCRG and I disagree on some basic issues such as that of skater safety, and fairness and transparency in organizational operations.  There are details that lie beyond the scope of this short communication, but I do encourage you, the fans, the press, and my peers to ask questions, and to not be shy about wanting to know, if you’re inclined (http://ratcityrollergirls.com/about-us/contact-us/).  

To be ultra clear: I am, by no means, leaving the sport of roller derby; I will continue to be involved as a great player, a great coach, and and I look forward to seeing everyone and competing with my peers in my next appearance on skates: as a member of Team LEGIT, competing in the Battle on the Bank in Seattle, first weekend in June.  While I no longer support RCRG as an organization overall, I want to emphasize that my decision does not extend to the individual skaters who remain members of the league.

Welcome to Republic City: Sparkly Sparkly Bush Man

May I just say, I absolutely adore sparkly sparkly bush man… as well as the name the fandom seems to have given him. His lighthearted, carefree behavior, as well as how appreciative he seems to be over having procured such a beauteous bush in which to live, make me hope that we’ll see him again sometime in the future. I know that statistically speaking, chances of that are low, but still… it’d be great to catch up with him sometime. 

One of the things I noticed about him is that he seems to be wearing mostly earth kingdom clothes, except for his sash/belt- which looks to be more fire nation in origin. I’d be a little interested to see where he comes from, and how long he’s been in Republic City… On another note, I thought it was kind of adorable how he had a flower pinned to his outfit. It’s like, even though he’s a vagabond, he still wants to present himself well when it’s possible.

And of course, he reminds me so much of Dock/Xu/Bushi, that I can’t help but wonder if they’re somehow related… who knows, maybe sparkly sparkly bush man is Dock/Xu/Bushi’s grandson! What do you guys think?
